How are new students assigned to roommates and rooms?
All new and transfer students must complete the online Housing Information Form and electronically sign the Housing Contract. The information provided on the Housing Information Form is used for roommate matching, so it is important to fill out the form honestly. If a student wishes to live with someone specific, all students must request one another on the Housing Information Form. Forms should be completed by June 15th. Students cannot request specific buildings or rooms. First-year students are housed in doubles, triples, and quads.

We strongly recommend that you have your own coverage. The college does not provide coverage for personal belongings or cars. It would be best to determine whether your homeowner or rental insurance covers your belongings and then make any necessary arrangements for the coverage. If you wish to purchase insurance, one company from which you may do so is National Student Services, Inc. Their website is http://nssinc.com/, or you may contact the Office of Residence Life for a brochure.
If you have any further questions or need additional information, please contact the Office of Residence Life at reslife@rhodes.edu or (901) 843-3241.
