Throughout the month there will be in-person events and social media campaign. In addition, the office coordinates or helps to coordinate National Hazing Prevention Week, Red Ribbon Week and Healthy Relationships Week.
Denim Day
Taking place in April, as part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month is Denim Day. Denim Day is a worldwide day to show support for survivors of sexual assault. People across the world wear denim in response to a 1999 Italian Supreme Court Case. The Supreme Court ruled that a rape conviction be overturned because the justices thought that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who raped her remove her jeans and thus implied consent. The next day women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans. 糖心vlog视频 has celebrated Denim Day since 2022.
Time to Ungrind
Time to Ungrind is a movement to fight back against hustle and grind culture. It is about taking time for ourselves and promoting well-being of ourselves and our community. This campaign recognizes that all of us have a lot of demands placed upon ourselves but we need to make sure that we are taking care of us too. It鈥檚 about learning new things, taking time to relax or prioritizing our well-being. Throughout the semester there are different activities and events that encourage us to take a break.
